Festival season in Cyprus shows no signs of slowing down, with new and exciting events set to launch as autumn approaches. One of the island’s most cherished and long-standing festivals is making a comeback this October, right in the heart of Limassol.
Mark Your Calendars: October 12-18
The much-anticipated 14th edition of the International Short Film Festival of Cyprus is scheduled for October 12 to 18. This week-long celebration will take place at the iconic Rialto Theatre, co-organized by the theatre itself and the Cultural Services of the Ministry of Education. The festival will feature a main competition showcasing a variety of short films, along with a series of unique, site-specific events throughout the town. These events, created in partnership with local artists, aim to blend different art forms into the festival experience.
Awards Ceremony Highlights
The festival will conclude with a prestigious awards ceremony, recognizing the best in both national and international short films. Winners will be chosen by the ISFFC Jury, which consists of five esteemed film professionals, including international and Cypriot filmmakers, academics, festival directors, and short film programmers.
