Born from the vision of Larnaka 2030, the festival transcends the typical artistic event. It fosters collaboration between artists, scientists, and the community, fostering a collective exploration of biodesign. This emerging field bridges art and science, seeking solutions that harmonize technological advancements with the natural world.
The festival’s core lies in participation. Attendees are invited to co-create artworks alongside Cypriot and international talents. This exchange of knowledge cultivates a global “eco-learning” resource inspired by Larnaca’s unique ecosystem. This dismantles traditional boundaries, fostering a sense of interconnectedness beyond borders or ideologies.
Building upon its successful debut, this year’s festival strengthens the human-environment bond. The final week celebrates the power of youth. Workshops inspired by Vaso Panagi’s children’s book “Sky Gatherer” culminate in a vibrant children’s parade curated by artists and eco-pedagogues, traversing the historic city center.
