Mini Summer Festivals to Look Forward To
For those remaining on the island this July and August, there’s no shortage of activities to enjoy. As a prime summer destination, Cyprus offers a vibrant cultural agenda filled with exciting events. Amid the bustling summer scene are several mini-festivals that bring a breath of fresh air to local happenings. From live music and culinary delights to stargazing, these events promise to entertain and delight islanders.
Pervoli Fest: A Unique Experience in Lythrodontas
Set in the serene natural landscape of Lythrodontas, the 5th Pervoli Fest will take place on July 26 and 27. This two-day event offers a blend of music, coffee, smoothies, and camping. Beyond the lineup of six DJs, Pervoli Fest is more than just a music festival. Attendees can enjoy horseback riding, volleyball, backgammon, vintage and streetwear shopping, and camping under the stars. The music lineup features Jigsaw B2B Mae, KZEN, and PATSIAZ on day one, with Angie B2B KONN, PAN, and the Afrofox Duo bringing funky tunes on day two.
Pachna Street Food Festival: Culinary Delights in Limassol
As August arrives, so does the 2nd Pachna Street Food Festival. Held in Ayiou Georgiou Square in Pano Pachna village, Limassol district, this festival invites visitors for a day filled with food and drink. Organized by the Youth Centre, the event offers free entrance and a play area for children. Starting at 5pm, food stalls will serve delicious bites, making it a perfect evening outing.
Agrofest: A Celebration Under the Stars
Later in August, the Perseids meteor showers will illuminate Cyprus’ night sky, and Agrofest is set to celebrate this celestial event with a three-day festival. From August 9 to 11, the Platres Arena will host films under the stars, music, and dancing. The festival kicks off with an open-air cinema night on August 9. Day two features reggaeton and dance music with LEGGO, while day three concludes with Greek hits, creating the ultimate summer dance party.
Maroni Street Food Festival: A September Highlight
As summer draws to a close and September begins, the events continue. On September 7, Maroni village in Larnaca district will host its 3rd Maroni Street Food Festival.
