Market Season Kicks Off

As the weather cools, market season is beginning, with a three-day market taking place at the Strovolos Cultural Centre. The 7th Handmade in Cyprus Market will feature over 30 local artists daily, showcasing Cypriot-made art. Visitors can also enjoy food and drink stalls as well as a dedicated children’s corner. This market promises entertainment for all ages.

For second-hand enthusiasts, Kala Kathoumena will host a Thrift Bazaar on Sunday, where you can shop for clothes, accessories, and more, with prices ranging from €5 to €20. Meanwhile, Larnaca is set to hold a Pop-Up Bazaar on Saturday, featuring over 25 local creators at the Larnaka Municipal Market. This event is the first of its kind at the venue and aims to become a monthly occasion.

Moonlit Music in Protaras

This Friday, the MoonWalk 2024 – Rising Moon Edition will light up the Pernera-Protaras Promenade with live music. Over 130 musicians will perform across 31 stages by the sea, all under the glow of the full moon. Visitors can stroll along the coast, stopping to listen to the wide variety of music, including jazz, rock, and Latin rhythms. This highly anticipated event, organized by Paralimni Youth, typically draws thousands of people and is a fantastic way to close out the summer.

Electrifying Nights in Limassol

For fans of electronic music, the BEONIX Festival in Limassol is the place to be. Starting on Friday and running through the weekend, this festival will bring together DJs, artists, and electronic music enthusiasts at ETKO. Several stages will feature top electronic music, complemented by art installations and visual effects. The fun doesn’t stop when the festival ends—after-parties will keep the energy going into the early hours.

Festivals Galore in Nicosia

In the capital, Nicosia, a variety of festivals and events will take place. Laou Laou – Car Free Day, part of the European Mobility Week, will transform the Agioi Omologites area on Saturday into a car-free zone filled with music, art, and community activities. Another cultural treat is the Pame Kaimakli Festival, which will run from Friday to Sunday. This event in the Kaimakli neighborhood will feature workshops, performances, and installations that bring together artists and residents.

Friday night in Nicosia promises even more excitement. Choose between the Fork Food Market at the Nicosia Municipal Gardens, a free classical music concert by the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra at Eleftheria Square, or catch a film at the Queer Wave Festival, which starts this weekend.
