Title : Facilities Coordinator
Employee Working Location : Remote (Canada)
Employment Status : Temporary Full-time (12 months)
Salary Band : $48,322 – $60,402 / year

In this role, you will :
- Work closely with the Facilities Manager(s) to support all facilities activities in Western Canada.
- Serve as a first line contact for the facilities department for all internal and external customers/contractors.
- Coordinate facility maintenance, repairs and renovations throughout regions and other geographical areas as may be required.
- Monitor performance of HVAC and other major building systems to ensure a comfortable working environment for Red Cross personnel.
- Ensure work performed by contractors and service providers is completed in accordance with required standards and scopes of work. Liaise with contractors and location facility leads/contacts/purchase agents to follow through on approved work.
- Assist with sustaining the security and safety at all facilities.
- Provide administrative support to the Senior Manager, Facilities – Western Canada and the Director, Real Estate & Facilities Management.
- Perform minor maintenance and repair tasks where required.
- Respond to facility needs as outlined in the Occupational Health and Safety committee guidelines.
- Work with Coordinators from the Volunteer Resources and Customer Service Support (VCSS) Dept and assist with daily office activities (eg. procurement, office equipment maintenance, inventory management).
- Maintain a contractor list and maintenance and repair log for each location.
- Track and report on contract expiries.
What we are looking for :
- The minimum qualifications for this job include completion of a one (1) year post-secondary certification in a related field and at least three years of job-related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial building maintenance and repairs, janitorial services and procedures, grounds maintenance, etc.
- Knowledge of contracting and procurement of facility related services.
- Fluency in English is required, French is an asset.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Strong organization skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, Visio)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Physical demands of the position require lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Valid driver’s license and valid First Aid Certificate or willingness to take training.
- Experience in working with a diverse population and un understanding of cultural issues.
- Certification and working knowledge of occupational health and safety standards.
Working Conditions :
- May be required to work non-traditional hours, be on-call, carry a cell phone and respond to emergency/disaster related requests.
- The majority of the work is performed in an office of work from home environment.
- Travel of up to 25% may be required.
