A new art exhibition is set to open in Paphos, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Petrideion Foundation. This special milestone marks three decades since the foundation’s inception in 1994. To commemorate this, a group art exhibition titled “Reflections of a Community” will be held this October at the Old Powerhouse Cultural Centre. The exhibition will officially open its doors to the public on October 12.
Local Artists Unite for a Special Exhibition
A total of 21 local artists will participate in the exhibition, including Achilleas Christou, Christos Christou, Rafaella Constantinou, Abi Daker, and many more talented individuals from the Paphos region. The diverse group of artists brings together different mediums and perspectives, reflecting the rich and multifaceted identity of the community.
According to the event’s organisers, the artists were invited to “explore the concept of place and way of life in Paphos, moving beyond traditional representations.” They have approached this theme through a mix of narrative and symbolic interpretations, offering an artistic exploration of the community’s internal and mental landscapes. The exhibition is designed to encourage public engagement with these thought-provoking reflections.
Curator and Support
The exhibition has been curated by Yiannis Sakellis and will run under the auspices of Mayor Phedonas Phedonos. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience this visual journey until October 20.
