About the Role:
As a Game Artist at our studio, you’ll be responsible for shaping the visual identity of our games. Your creations will define the look and feel of characters, environments, and in-game assets, directly influencing how players experience our worlds. If you’re passionate about crafting immersive and stunning visuals, we’d love to have you on board!
Key Responsibilities:
- Visual Asset Creation: Design, model, and texture 2D/3D assets such as characters, environments, UI elements, and more, ensuring they align with the game’s artistic vision.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the design and programming teams to ensure that visual elements integrate seamlessly into the gameplay and enhance the user experience.
- Optimization: Ensure assets are optimized for performance across platforms without sacrificing visual quality.
- Prototyping: Develop visual prototypes and iterate on concepts to bring new ideas to life.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot challenges in visual development, ensuring the final product meets quality and performance standards.
- Innovation: Stay up to date with the latest art techniques, tools, and industry trends to keep our games visually innovative and engaging.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a game artist, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work in 2D/3D game asset creation.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software like Photoshop, Blender, Maya, Substance Painter, or equivalent tools.
- Strong artistic skills with a deep understanding of color theory, lighting, form, and composition.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and communicate effectively with designers, developers, and other artists.
- A passion for video games and a deep understanding of visual storytelling.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience working on multiple platforms (PC, Console, Mobile).
- Knowledge of animation or rigging.
- Prior experience in indie game development.
- Background in VR/AR art development or other emerging visual technologies.
