Senior Platform Engineer

Overview:

Our client a global scale up in the fintech start space are looking for more Software Engineers for their Platform Engineering team. These roles are fully remote but need to align to the Melbourne time zone. We are looking for Engineers who are interested in solving problems for product engineering teams, improving developer experience, Observability, CI/CD and infrastructure and security problems. The platform team have a broad remit, we work in horizontal pods and as a platform engineer you need to be able to look at the bigger picture across the organisation to make sure that what we are building provides use to our customers and aligns with business goal.

We are looking for engineers who have experience optimising Azure resources which will allow our Cloud based infrastructure to scale efficiently and reliably.

You will be part of a team that look after application performance monitoring and observability. You will have the opportunity to work across integrating new Azure services, refining deployment processes, or implementing best practices for continuous integration and continuous deployment.

You will be a great fit for this role on the Technical side if:

• You have a firm grasp of Senior Software Engineering, ideally in C# or Typescript
• You have experience with with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficiency with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Bicep.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and related tools.
• Experience with Azure Alerts and DevOps Pipelines.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as PagerDuty, CloudWatch, or similar.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
