IMAGO, an extraordinary contemporary dance creation by acclaimed UK dancers and choreographers James Pett and Travis Clausen-Knight, is set to grace Limassol’s Rialto Theatre this month. Save the date for June 25 as this captivating production takes center stage.
According to event organizers, IMAGO transcends traditional ballet, weaving a narrative of human connections through the poetic languages of flowers and dance. Travis Clausen-Knight and James Pett, distinguished alumni of McGregor Studio, received resounding acclaim at the Celebrity Ballet Gala: Contemporary held in Limassol this February. Now, they bring their artistry to the Rialto Theatre, accompanied by live musical performances.
The evening will commence at 7.30pm with Sean Pett, composer and pianist, joined by a violinist, presenting original compositions that complement the ballet’s emotional journey. Through 12 distinct chapters, the two dancers will explore the complexities of modern relationships, each movement enriched by James Pett’s compositions and selections from Vivaldi and Max Richter. Symbolic floral arrangements will further illuminate the production’s thematic depth, drawing from the historical symbolism of flowers to uncover profound truths about the human experience.
“IMAGO is not just a ballet; it is a heartfelt ode to love and human emotion. Join us for an unforgettable night with stars from the UK’s ballet and music scene, exclusively in Limassol. Don’t miss out!” urge the organizers.
