This weekend is packed with activities across the island, offering something for everyone to enjoy on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Here’s a roundup of the most exciting events happening:
Paphos Beer Fest
Head to the Paphos Medieval Castle Square for the latest edition of the Paphos Beer Festival. Running for four days from Thursday to Sunday, the event will feature over 35 types of beers and breweries, serving everything from ice-cold craft beer to classic lagers. Alongside the drinks, a dozen food stalls will offer a variety of delicious options, including burgers, pizzas, tacos, hot dogs, and seafood.
Entertainment will be abundant with live performances by local bands, DJs, and artists throughout the festival, ensuring a lively atmosphere. Expect fun beer games and fire shows that will add to the festive spirit every day.
24th Paradise Jazz Festival in Gialia Village
Another highlight in Paphos is the 24th Paradise Jazz Festival held at Val’s Place in Gialia Village. This Friday and Saturday, the festival will feature a lineup of Cyprus’ finest jazz musicians alongside internationally acclaimed artists. A major attraction will be the performance by David Garfield, a celebrated jazz artist from the USA, who will perform with local musicians. The festival will host six shows and two jam sessions, all set in a cozy and intimate environment.
Environment Sorry! Festival at Xyliatos Dam
On Sunday, the Environment Sorry! Festival will take place at Xyliatos Dam, organized by Green Shield. The festival will offer a range of outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, and a marathon, starting early in the morning. The day will culminate with a gathering at the dam’s picnic area, featuring live music, dance, theatre performances, games, and activities for children. A food buffet will be available for a nominal fee, with proceeds supporting the You Reforest Cyprus program.
Classic Car Drive-In Cinema
For movie buffs and vintage car enthusiasts, the Idalion Classic Car Club is hosting a Classic Car Drive-In Cinema this Sunday on the outskirts of Nicosia. The event will begin with a classic car exhibition and party from 6 pm to 8 pm, followed by a screening of the classic film Grease at 8:30 pm. While priority entry will be given to classic cars, other vehicles might be allowed depending on space availability. Even without a car, attendees can still enjoy the film in an outdoor setting.
