Looking to experience a touch of nostalgia? A special drive-in cinema night is on the horizon, showcasing classic and antique cars as the main attraction. The Idalion Classic Car Club in Nicosia is hosting this unique event, bringing together cinephiles, car enthusiasts, and everyone in between for an unforgettable open-air movie night. The highlight of the evening, alongside the stunning display of vintage vehicles, will be the screening of a beloved 1978 hit film that has captured the hearts of many.
An Evening of Retro Charm
The Classic Car Drive-In Cinema event is set for August 25 at the Idalion High School field, with the gates opening at 6pm. Guests will be greeted with a lively Retro Party, featuring 80s and 90s music, as well as food and drink stalls. In addition, an exhibition of classic cars will be on display for attendees to admire. Owners of antique vehicles are encouraged to arrive at 5:30pm to park their cars and mingle with fellow collectors.
As night falls, the open-air cinema will kick off at 8:30pm with a screening of the iconic film Grease, perfectly matching the event’s nostalgic theme. While the drive-in is primarily reserved for classic cars, a limited number of spots will be available for non-classic vehicles. However, the event is open to all, with a designated area set up for those attending without a car to enjoy the movie comfortably. Throughout the evening, popcorn and drinks will be available for purchase. The only requirement for drivers is to register their participation in advance.
