Embark on a journey of self-discovery through art with a series of innovative workshops in Nicosia. Complementing the thought-provoking art installation-exhibition “WE MET – Love, Death, and Meta” by artist Michalis Charalambous, currently showcased at the Cyprus Museum, the Department of Antiquities of the Deputy Ministry of Culture is hosting three psychoeducational sculpture workshops throughout June.
Delving into the core themes of love, death, and existential contemplation explored within the exhibition, these workshops offer participants a unique opportunity to engage their senses and traverse the realms of physical and digital artistry. By delving into the symbolism and concepts prevalent in artistic expression across ages, attendees are encouraged to tap into their emotional depths and translate them into creative forms using materials like clay, metal, plastic, and even 3D scanning technology.
Led by Elpida Frangkeskidou, the visionary behind Kuns Studio sculpture workshop, and Eleni Petridou Bouriti, an esteemed art psychotherapist, these participatory sessions will be conducted in Greek on Saturdays, June 8, 15, and 29, starting at 10:30 am. Additionally, specialized sessions accommodating individuals with disabilities will take place at 2:30 pm, ensuring inclusivity for all. Best of all, admission is free!
