The much-anticipated Limassol Wine Festival is set to return this year, celebrating the rich tradition, local culture, and, of course, Cypriot wine. This annual event is a highlight for Limassolians and attracts visitors from all over. Mark your calendars, as the festival will take place in the Limassol Municipal Gardens from September 28 to October 6.
A Celebration of Wine and Culture
Now in its 63rd edition, the Limassol Wine Festival promises an array of activities centered around wine. Expect dozens of local wine exhibitors, food stalls, and various cultural events. As the festival coincides with the grape harvest season, preparations are already in full swing. The Limassol Municipality is also currently accepting proposals for musical, theatrical, and folklore events to enrich the festival’s cultural program.
Diverse Cultural Program
The festival’s cultural lineup typically includes concerts and theatre performances at the Municipal Garden Theatre Marios Tokas, intimate concerts in front of the iconic big Cypriot man statue (Vrakas), and musical performances in local restaurants. Proposals are welcome for multimedia shows, artistic workshops, and activities for children, all reflecting the theme of the Wine Festival and paying homage to Greek and Cypriot music and comic theatre. The deadline for submissions is August 2 at 12pm.
