The celebration kicks off at 10:30 AM with a unique guided tour of the gallery’s collection. This tour, conducted in Greek, will focus on the theme of The Nativity in European Art, where guests will explore various artworks that depict the iconic Christmas story. Just an hour later, at 11:30 AM, another tour will dive into the Kanthos: At the Crossroads of History exhibition, also presented in Greek. These expert-led tours will offer visitors a deeper connection to the rich cultural history showcased at the gallery.
Engaging Workshops for the Young Ones
In addition to the adult-focused tours, the Leventis Gallery has crafted a series of interactive workshops aimed at young visitors. Starting at 10:15 AM, children can participate in a Christmas-themed workshop conducted in Greek, where they will engage in fun, hands-on activities. At 10:45 AM, the English-speaking workshop titled The Return of the Goblins begins. Led by storyteller Marina Katsari and educator Rebekka Katsari, this workshop will captivate children aged five to seven with an interactive storytelling session inspired by the gallery’s artwork. Tickets for this workshop are priced at €10.
Live Music to Brighten the Day
No Christmas event is complete without festive music. At 2:30 PM, the children from Music Puzzle music school will fill the gallery with Christmas carols and joyful melodies. Later in the day, at 3:30 PM, the Sticky Breed Band will perform their lively tunes, ensuring the gallery resonates with holiday spirit.
