Across two days in May, participants are invited to immerse themselves in the island’s rural landscapes and villages, delving into the wonders of its flora, fauna, birds, and habitats through guided hikes and engaging activities.
Event 1:
On May 18th, from 5 pm to 8 pm, nature enthusiasts will embark on an educational afternoon hike at Cape Aspro, Pissouri. Led by knowledgeable guides from Terra Cypria, participants will traverse the mesmerizing white, rocky coastline, gaining valuable insights into the diverse flora and fauna inhabiting this pristine area, which forms an integral part of the Natura 2000 network.
Event 2:
Mark your calendars for May 25th, where the celebration continues with a full-day extravaganza in Pissouri, Limassol district, from 10 am to 7:30 pm. This event offers a plethora of interactive activities designed to deepen understanding and appreciation for nature. From learning about barn owls and the traditional art of halloumi-making to engaging in orienteering challenges and crafting sessions for both children and adults, there’s something for everyone. Additionally, participants can partake in treasure hunts and games centered around sea turtles, vultures, monk seals, and climate change, fostering awareness and environmental stewardship.
