A vibrant new festival celebrating performing arts for children and young adults is set to debut in Cyprus, featuring captivating productions from Spain, Italy, Greece, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Ireland, and locally. The 1st Mitsikouri International Festival, organized by the Theatre Centre for Children and Young People – ASSITEJ Cyprus, promises an enriching cultural experience across Nicosia, Limassol, and Lefkara from October 26 to November 3.
The festival aims to showcase contemporary trends in children’s and young people’s performing arts, offering audiences in Cyprus a diverse array of high-caliber theatre, dance, and musical performances. Alongside these international showcases, attendees can participate in a dynamic parallel program featuring workshops, lectures, open discussions, and engaging activities tailored for both young festival-goers and arts professionals.
Supported by the Deputy Ministry of Culture and the KYPRIA program, the event aspires to cultivate a broad audience, fostering a deeper appreciation for creativity and artistry among youth and the wider community.
