In the picturesque village of Kalopanayiotis, the second edition of Pop Up Talks: Stories That Inspire is set to unfold in the first week of August. Building on the success of the initial event held last April in Argaka, Paphos, this engaging event will return with an expanded lineup of speakers and captivating stories. Save the date: August 3.
Empowering Stories and Open Discussions
“This event aims to uphold the tradition of open discussions and inspiring storytelling, featuring notable Cypriot speakers who will delve into various compelling topics,” say the organizers. “The Pop Up Talks: Stories That Inspire initiative seeks to empower local residents by providing them the opportunity to attend talks from individuals with profound knowledge, experiences, ideas, and life stories that can inspire us through their presentations.”
Diverse Speaker Lineup
Next week, four distinguished speakers will take the stage. Poly Grigora, a Volunteer for Mental Health Empowerment, will share her personal journey from stigma to self-awareness in mental health, emphasizing the urgent need for social transparency regarding mental illnesses such as depression, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder.
Christina O’Neill, a Trainer, Coach, and Facilitator, will explore the concept of the Transformation Mindset, stressing the significance of altering old habits and beliefs to foster personal growth and transformation. Dr. Nikos Konstantinou, Associate Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience, will discuss The World As We Perceive It: Reality or Illusion?, examining how our brain shapes our reality and what this implies for our understanding of the world around us. Finally, entrepreneur Simos Kitiris will delve into the importance of seeking challenges and embracing obstacles for personal and professional development.
An Event for Personal and Professional Growth
The event, conducted in Greek and hosted by the Kalopanayiotis Community Council with support from the communities of Moutoullas, Oikos, Pedoulas, Gerakies, and Mylikouri, is open to everyone. It aims to offer attendees a platform to explore personal and professional growth while learning and networking.
