Get ready for a vibrant celebration of collaborative art and research at the upcoming Xarkis Festival! Scheduled for September 13-15 in the historic district of Old Nicosia, this year’s festival, themed “Unearthing Care: Ecologies of Collaboration”, promises a rich agenda of performances, installations, exhibitions, and activities. As preparations gear up, an open call for volunteers has been announced.
Volunteers Wanted
According to the festival organizers, “It takes a village to bring this festival to life, and we rely on a passionate team of volunteers to support our staff.” They are currently seeking individuals who can contribute to making the 11th Xarkis Festival an unforgettable experience.
Volunteers are needed from September 9 to 16, which includes assisting with the Xarkis Artist Multi-Residency Programme, held just before the festival kicks off. Volunteers can select their availability and will be assigned roles based on their interests and skills. Available positions include:
- Technical Support
- Communication
- Hospitality
- Sustainability
- Kitchen Support
- Design/Spatial Experience Preparation
For those traveling from outside Nicosia, the festival will cover travel expenses, food, and accommodation. The festival is open to all backgrounds, genders, ethnicities, and ages. Interested candidates should apply by Saturday by sending their CV and a letter of interest to [email protected].
