Nicola Michael, born and raised in London to Cypriot parents, returned to Cyprus at 17, beginning her artistic journey at a young age. Following an immobilizing accident in 2016, she found inspiration in creating mandalas, symbolic of unity and wholeness. Later, the passing of her mother fueled her art with profound love, viewing death as a serene return home.
Her art, rooted in spirituality and meditation, channels love for family and friends without disclosure, viewing painting as a personal journey. Each piece evolves organically, featuring mandalas, hearts, abstract patterns, and vibrant colors, experimenting with various techniques and materials.
Central to Nicola’s work is the belief that self-love leads to authentic love for others. “Love is always the answer,” she affirms, hoping her art fosters a sense of love in its viewers.
