Almost a year after its first successful large-scale consultation in November 2023, Lemesos 2030, the European Capital of Culture candidate city, is gearing up for another significant event. This new initiative, titled 10 10 100 – Views on Cultural Spaces, is primarily aimed at the cultural and artistic communities of Limassol and will take place on September 21 at the Cyprus University of Technology (Tepak).
A Platform for Artistic Expression
At the heart of this event are 100 participants, divided into 10 groups, who will engage in roundtable discussions. The focus of the conversations will be on Cultural Spaces, particularly the infrastructures that support artistic and cultural creation in Limassol. Through this initiative, Lemesos 2030 aims to gather insights, ideas, and recommendations from artists, cultural producers, stakeholders, and various associations to shape the future of cultural spaces in the city.
Moderated by Cultural Experts
The discussions will be facilitated by a ten-member team from Lemesos 2030, each member actively contributing to the city’s artistic and cultural landscape. Under the theme “Imagine,” this team aims to capture the pulse of Limassol’s cultural sector and reflect it in future plans for the city.
How to Get Involved
Civil society members, artists, architects, cultural association representatives, and artistic collectives interested in participating are encouraged to apply by filling out the online application form. The discussions will be conducted in either Greek or English, depending on the participants’ preferences. Applicants will be chosen based on their involvement in the cultural sector, with the Open Call closing on September 13.
