Dr. Eleftheriou qualified from University College London Medical School in 1999 and gained his surgical membership in 2003. He then completed his Doctorate of Medicine Thesis in 2007 at UCL looking at how lifestyle factors can affect bone health. He spent another 6 years training in Orthopaedic Surgery around London gaining the FRCS(Tr&Orth) and has been on the General Medical Council’s (GMC) Specialist Register since 2012. 

As part of his training he developed a specialist interest in Foot and Ankle disorders, and gained further experience under Mr. Peter Rosenfeld at Imperial College NHS Trust. He then completed a 9-month fellowship under Mr. James Calder and Mr. Lloyd Williams at the Fortius Clinic and the Princess Grace Hospital, which included the management of foot and ankle problems in professional athletes, footballers and dancers and gained experience in arthroscopic (keyhole) and minimally-invasive foot and ankle surgery. He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (BOFAS).
