The much-loved Pallas Theatre in Nicosia is ready to reopen its doors, welcoming back artists and culture enthusiasts. After being closed temporarily in February due to various technical problems, the theatre has undergone necessary renovations and is once again prepared for operation.

Grand Reopening Event

To celebrate this momentous occasion, the theatre will host a special musical event on Thursday. This marks the beginning of a new chapter for Pallas Theatre and its upcoming season. The Cyprus Symphony Orchestra will present an educational concert, launching this next phase of the theatre’s journey.

Challenges and Renovations

Last year, the theatre encountered several technical issues that forced its closure. The deputy ministry of culture enlisted private architects to carry out a thorough inspection of the building’s structural and electro-mechanical systems. After completing essential maintenance and upgrades, the theatre is now ready to function again.

Ready to Serve Cultural Events

With all necessary approvals and upgrades in place, Pallas Theatre is now fully equipped to host a variety of events, including those organized by the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra Foundation and other cultural or non-cultural organizations.

Several performances are already scheduled to take place at the theatre, with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra planning a series of October concerts. These include the Family Concerts 1 event on Saturday, and the Premiere 1 concert on October 16. More performances are set for November and December.
