In a bid to promote local businesses and support rural communities, the government has organized a special mountain festival this September at the Presidential residence in Troodos.
Celebrate Cypriot Tradition at the Pame Troodos Festival
Titled Pame Troodos: The Traditional Flavours and Handicrafts Festival, the event is set for Saturday, September 7, and invites people from across the island to discover and appreciate Cypriot art and products.
A Charitable Initiative by the First Lady
This festival is spearheaded by First Lady Philippa Karsera Christodoulides as part of her charitable endeavors. A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Community Welfare Councils of the countryside, specifically EKE Kyperounta.
Encouraging Tourism in the Mountains
Running from 11 am to 7 pm, the festival is supported by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism to attract more visitors to the mountain region. To facilitate this, a free bus service will transport attendees from Troodos Square to the Presidential Residence.
