As part of the ongoing commemorations for the 50th anniversary of the Turkish invasion, an upcoming concert in Larnaca will unite prominent singers from Cyprus and Greece. The “Memories of Famagusta – 50 Years of Nostalgia” concert, organized by the Nea Salamina Famagusta Club, is set to take place at the Patticheio Amphitheatre on September 6. This event aims to rekindle memories of Famagusta and express the enduring hope of returning to the beloved city through the evocative power of music.
A Star-Studded Musical Line-Up
The concert will feature performances by the esteemed Mikis Theodorakis Folk Orchestra, along with celebrated Greek artists Glykeria and Kostas Makedonas. Joining them on stage will be Cypriot singer Freideriki Toumbazou, as well as other selected vocalists from Varosha. These artists will deliver a repertoire that resonates with the cultural and emotional ties to Famagusta.
