The Follow the Music project is back for its sixth edition this Friday, presenting another spectacular concert in a surprise location in Larnaca. This time, the Larnaca-based multicultural Armoniya Choir, led by Rania Al Najjar, collaborates with two choirs from Lebanon—the Notre-Dame of Jamhour Choir and the JAWA Choir of Lebanon in Paris—to take the audience on a musical journey around the world. Adding to the experience is the Gaba Project, featuring handpan, percussion, and lyre.
The Follow the Music initiative, part of the Larnaka 2030 organisation, aims to uncover and celebrate the hidden gems of Larnaca through a series of secret concerts. Each edition starts with an announcement of the performers and the general area of the event, but the exact location remains a mystery. Attendees engage in a fun exploration game, receiving clues along the way. The precise concert venue is revealed via email to registered participants just two hours before the show begins.
Promoting Young Musicians is another significant goal of the Follow the Music project. It offers a platform for emerging artists, showcasing new musical acts and helping them build their audience.
So far, Follow the Music has ventured to Livadia, Kiti, central Larnaca, Lefkara, and even Famagusta. Over 30 musicians and numerous audience members have embraced these unique musical evenings. The location for this week’s event remains a secret, revealed only to registered attendees.
