Events in Nicosia
For those staying in Nicosia and avoiding the holiday crowds, the OPU Collective is hosting the Stuck in Nicosia event on Thursday. This laid-back gathering will take place in Ayioi Omologites at 8 pm, featuring drinks and a DJ lineup to set the mood.
As the weekend progresses, Nicosia may seem even more deserted, but Lost + Found Drinkery is turning up the heat with a G.O.A.T. Party on Saturday. Guests can expect a mix of cocktails and tunes from the 60s to the 80s, spanning disco, pop, and everything in between, ensuring a lively summer atmosphere.
Festivities in Rural Villages
Outside the main cities, rural villages are brimming with traditional festivals, live music, and local markets offering fun for all ages. In Stroumpi village, the 45th Dionysia Festival kicks off on Friday and continues through Saturday, featuring performances by popular Greek artists like Giorgos Tsalikis and Lefteris Pantazis.
Meanwhile, the 42nd Lefkara Festival continues until Saturday in Lefkara village. On Friday, a retro party will feature a live performance by the famous band ONE. Saturday will see the school courtyard transformed into an outdoor cinema, with screenings for children at 8:30 pm and for adults at 10:30 pm.
In Kato Mylos, Paphos, the Peach Festival will take place on Saturday. The festival will include cooking demonstrations by chefs showcasing creative peach recipes, a workshop on making peach-scented body mist, a photography exhibition, and music and dance shows in the evening.
Music in Paphos
For those in Paphos, the Trio in Cahoots band will perform live at Technopolis 20 garden on Sunday. The concert will feature a blend of jazz, pop, folk, and Latin influences, with improvisational elements and songs from artists like Antonio Carlos Jobim and Nick Drake.
