Welcome, August: A New Weekend of Events
As August arrives, so does a fresh lineup of events. While August often sees a slowdown in activities due to summer holidays, there’s still plenty happening across the island. This weekend carries forward the vibrant agenda of July with exciting festivals returning to the cities and villages of Cyprus.
Fengaros Music Village
First up is the highly anticipated Fengaros Music Village, which kicks off today. Until Saturday, this festival will host a series of live music performances across four stages in Kato Drys village, rocking rural Larnaca. Artists from both abroad and the island will entertain festival-goers, while DJs, food trucks, curated cocktail bars, and various experiences add to the lively atmosphere.
19th Lemesos International Documentary Festival
In Limassol, the 19th Lemesos International Documentary Festival begins today at Ceronia Hall – Lanitis Carob Mill. Over 20 cutting-edge documentaries will be screened until August 8, all making their Cyprus premiere. Alongside remarkable international and local productions, the festival will feature Q&A sessions with producers, music events with DJ sets, and open-air parties.
