The University of Limassol and Lakis Greek Kitchen (LGK) are hosting two special documentary evenings. The premiere takes place on Sunday at the Latsia Municipal Theatre in Nicosia, starting at 7 pm. The event will be held under the auspices of the Commissioner for Gender Equality, Josie Christodoulou.

Queens of Cyprus celebrates the achievements of Cypriot women from diverse backgrounds, regardless of age, religion, or nationality. The documentary features interviews with prominent figures such as First Lady Philippa Karsera and international model Sofia Hadjipanteli. These stories highlight resilience, courage, and a deep love for Cyprus, demonstrating the varied ways these women contribute to their homeland.
A Call for Equality and Inclusiveness
While focusing on the essence of womanhood, the documentary also aims to inspire change by including voices of men advocating for human rights and striving for a more inclusive society. After its debut in Nicosia, Queens of Cyprus will be shown in Limassol on September 4 at the Ypsonas Municipal Theatre.
